Field, Isobel (Strong). This is an original pencil drawing (sketch) on paper which has been affixed to a gray piece of card. Scene shows a group of woman in a native village - perhaps the south seas or Haiti - with several women woman on the ground and some standing with baskets on their heads. Written notes on the drawing seem instructional - "note how I got back to the distance" and "Every head, hand and foot accounted for" and "I feel I want a semi note at A. B. & C." and a note indicating a sleeping dog. |
